River lily and Mangrove Lily is common name for this big and vigorous Crinum from Australia. Grows on the landward edge of wet tropical mangrove forests, often growing along the high tide mark. Water regularly, do not overwater. Requires consistently moist soil. Do not let dry out between waterings. Also found in New Guinea and on Pacific Islands. Crinum 'pedunculatum'....from Latin pedunculatus, meaning "with a peduncle", referring to the long flower stalks. Big up to 2 meters. Large erect succulent leaves surround white fragrant elegant flowers growing from a stalk in the middle of the cluster. Grow from part shade to full sun.
